Crawling Lessons

Over the weekend Alysa decided to give Hayden some crawling lessons. What are big cousins for?! Hayden studied Alysa's movements and practiced hard! I think she's almost got it . . . . Sorry Auntie and Uncle Sloane! Watch out!

Weekend with Hayden

This past weekend my sister Diana and my niece Hayden came down for a visit. This meant, of course, spending most of the weekend and grandma and grandpa's house. I haven't seen Hayden since Christmas Eve, and WOW! what a big change in just a month! She is the HAPPIEST baby ever! Full of smiles and laughing and silly noises constantly. Alysa just adores her little cousin and loves her to pieces. So do I, of course! Here are a few pictures - is she not the cutest baby?!

Lunch time - sweet potatoes I think. Everytime Hayden took a bite, Diana would wipe her face off. I was giving her a bad time and begged her to let her get a little messy so I could take a picture!

Chargers Spirit!

Chargers spirit is everywhere! It seems everwhere you go around town this week there is a sea of blue and gold. Yesterday was Chargers Spirit Day at Alysa's school, and she was beyond excited to finally have a powder blue LT jersey! I just won't expand on the effort it took to get it! But isn't she the cutest little LT fan?! Everyone at her school - teachers, students, the principal, etc. - gathered at the end of the school day yesterday to take a group picture (taken by me!), and a camera guy from KUSI news came and taped the rally. It was really exciting and everyone was so pumped up! I left feeling very "charged" up for this weekend's game. Anyway, they made it on the news last night! I'll post some of the school shots soon.

Our Baby is 9 !!!!!

I wish I could figure out why time passes so fast. It seems like it was just yesterday that we brought a baby girl home from the hospital. And now she's 9 - how did that happen so fast? Alysa celebrated her 9th birthday on December 8th. I actually got her out to take some 9 year pictures during her birthday month! We went to one of my favorite spots - Old Poway Park. I've taken many pictures of her at this park over the past several years. It's also the park where I shoot senior portraits for the studio where I work. She gets annoyed with me taking her pictures, but she did great for quite a while before I started getting the "mom stop posing me" whine. So - here are a few of our favorites from this day. Enjoy!

Ok, it seems like it was months ago when I set up this blog, and I'm finally getting around to posting something! Not much for now, but at least it's a start! More to follow soon . . . . For now, here are a couple pics from Christmas. Happy New Year to all and I hope your holidays were fantastic!
